Bournemouth host Everton this evening as Andoni Iraola looks to end his team’s four game winless run.
David Moyes’ side are coming off the back of a 4-1 loss at home to Newcastle however beat Manchester United the game before.
Iraola will be without Marcos Senesi, Lewis Cook and David Brooks who are all missing the game through suspension.
As the Cherries look to turn their form around, here are our top talking points ahead of the game.
Defensive struggles
Bournemouth have conceded twelve goals in their last four games, one more than they conceded in the nine Premier League games beforehand.
Changes to the backline have been a topic of conversation among fans as Iraola has experimented with different players in the right back and right centre half positions.
With Senesi and Cook now missing tonight’s match, Iraola will have to change his defence once more with 18-year-old Veljko Milosavljevic likely to pair Bafode Diakite in the centre of defence.
Iraola said: “Veljko is a good option, but we have more options. We have Bafode (Diakite), we have James Hill, we have other players who could help us if we need them there, but I trust them 100%.”
Leading the line
Iraola often says in interviews that Evanilson brings more than just goals to his team however it is seemingly hard to ignore the Brazilian’s goalscoring woes this season.
Although he struggled with an injury throughout October the striker hasn’t scored since the 30th of August, his only goal of the season.
The Cherries’ boss may look to Junior Kroupi to lead the line for Bournemouth as he did when Evanilson was injured, a time which saw Kroupi score three times in three starts.
Discipline
After Saturday’s match against Sunderland, Bournemouth now lead the league in bookings.
Their 35 yellow cards are closely followed by Brighton who have 33 and Tottenham who have picked up 32.
Both Marcos Senesi and David Brooks are missing tonight’s game due to picking up five yellow cards each this season.
Iraola said: “I think the amount of fouls we have per yellow card is ridiculously lower than other clubs. Other teams do a lot more fouls and they have less yellow cards.
“I think it’s something we look at but it also comes with the way we play.”
The game kicks off at 7:30pm this evening at Vitality Stadium.
