Ahead of today's game with Stoke City, Scott Parker claimed that his side need to "come out of the blocks with intensity" and get the basics right to get the points.

Bournemouth sit second with games in hand on promotion rivals after their two week break where matches have been postponed.

Stoke on the other hand, will be looking to reply to their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Luton town.

Parker suggested that his side need to have diligence out of possession and be fluid in what they do in order to ensure the three points.

He stated: “If we get these right, anyone who comes here – it’s going to be a tough one for the opposition.”

Scott Parker’s side have picked up form since the FA Cup exit to Borehamwood as the Non-League side slashed hopes of a cup run.

Parker added: “There are many things on what will determine whether we’re on the right side of the fine margins of a win or loss in this division.”

A win away to Blackpool has been enough to keep the Cherries firmly in automatic promotion spots; despite a backlog of fixtures the boss claims his side are prepped and ready for Saturday.

“We’re in a good place, would we have liked to play the games, of course.

“What happened was unforeseen but we’re all good though and prepared for the weekend.”
