Despite leading for the majority of the game, Team BU couldn't finish the job in a 68-63 defeat at the Talbot Campus to the University of East London on Wednesday. Despite an improved performance from last weeks game, Team BU were unable to hold on to their lead as the tables turned in the third quarter.

In a slow start to the game, Team BU picked up the first two points, scored by Hanna Spencer-Pryce.Some good defence forced UEL to shoot the long ball and some good ball movement led to an easy layup for Spencer-Pryce.

The first timeout was called with 5:41 to go in the half, with the score at 4-3 with the first quarter ending 19-15, in favour of Team BU.

The second quarter saw UEL struggle to stay inbounds, with three out of bounds turnovers, before a shot clock violation.

The first half of the quarter was run by BU's Valentine and Spencer-Pryce. A back and forth performance led to 17 points between the two, prior to a hustle by Arike-Ojo leading to a fastbreak layup.

UEL called a timeout with 4:47 remaining with the scoreboard reading 36-23.Three close two pointers by Nina Kokot ended the quarter for BU, finishing the first half 45-30 with BU outscoring UEL by 26 points to 15.

The third quarter spelled the downfall for BU. An injury to Arike-Ojo started the third, and without her hustle on the court BU's momentum shifted entirely. Open three's began to hurt the BU squad with good ball movement finding UEL's Kipewu and Hlake.

A team effort from UEL saw them outscore BU 19-10 in the third quarter, with no particular leading scorer.

The final quarter still began with BU leading 55-49.

UEL's Kipewu and Beeler were the leaders of the fouth.  A tense few minutes saw both of them lead the scoring, with UEL taking their first lead of the game after Beeler's catch and shoot 2.

A combined 14 points between them outscored the entire BU team, who only had 8 this quarter. Spencer-Pryce tried to mount a comeback, but after three quarters of action Team BU couldn't seem to hit their shots.

The game ended 63-68 following the second half comeback of UEL.
