Why Join Us?

2) We are a community who want to help each other into their STEM careers.

What do we do?

The Women in STEM Society is a platform of opportunities for those who study STEM subjects. We make sure to inform WiSTEM members of the opportunities that are available after and during university. We provide support and networking opportunities for those who identify as a woman or non-binary who study STEM- related subjects at BU. Many of our larger socials are open to everyone so keep an eye out for our promotions! 

Who can join?

- Anyone who identifies as a woman or non-binary and studies a STEM related subject - this can be anything that is categorised under STEM (Science, Technology, Enginering and Maths) ranging from psychology and biomedical science to software engineering and product design! if you are unsure if you can join, send us a message :)

Key Events

WiSTEM Wednesdays

 - Every Wednesday we post on our social media (facebook group and instagram) about upcoming events and opportunites.

 - Socials and activities hosted during the day and nights out in Bournemouth venues such as cameo, revs and bar so.

Volunteering opportunities

 - Organised Beach clean ups and litter picking 

 - Organised fundraising events - contact us if you want to be involved or have any ideas!
