The award nominations are open from Monday 16 March at 10am and will close on Thursday 2 April. No further applications will be accepted after this time.

Who can be nominated?

All nominees must be current BU Students whether they are being nominated as an individual or a group. The individuals or group in your nomination must have positively contributed to the Students’ Union, the wider community and student activity within the 2025/2026 academic year. Please Note: A full-time member of staff cannot be nominated for any award, however any member of SUBU's Student Staff can be nominated.

Who can nominate?

All BU Students, BU Staff and SUBU Staff are welcome to put forward as many nominations as they wish. We would encourage you to elaborate and put as much information as you can to support the nomination.

How is the winner decided?

All nominations will be reviewed by a shortlisting panel, those nominees who are shortlisted will then be reviewed by a winners panel who will determine the recipient for each award category. Please note that members of the panel may not be familiar with you or your group/campaign so you will need to include as much relevant information as possible to best demonstrate your achievements.

Top tip: Submissions will be judged based on their quality and detail, not on the quantity of nominations submitted. If an individual/group has multiple nominations submitted, this will not guarantee them a place on the shortlist.
