Summer Live!

Summer Live is held in Bournemouth town center from 12th July and offers some amazing summer fun for all ages! Live music every day, arts huts to watch the artists in action as they paint, draw and create, face painting, outdoor 'Garden Bar' plus BBQ and much more!

Children are more than welcome plus Free entertainment shows during the last 2 weeks of August with Dr Balloonman, Mr Merlin and Okey Dokey, Count Backwards and Jamie Jigsaw!

Bournemouth Air Festival

Thursday 29th August to Sunday 1st September - get set for the UK's biggest air festival, 4-days of action and entertainment in the air, on land and at sea! Award-winning and internationally renowned, the Bournemouth Air Festival has entertained more than 8.5 million people since 2008.

Setting Bournemouth aside from other air shows, when the sun goes down, Night Air entertainment will light up the skies of the UK’s leading coastal resort with pyrotechnic night flying, street entertainment, awesome live music and military performances. A free to attend event, the Bournemouth Air Festival is so much more than an air show!

Fireworks at Poole Quay

Get your groove on for Rockley's Summer Spectacular as fabulous FREE live music, entertainment and fireworks come to Poole Quay! The free event is organised by Bournemouth & Poole Tourism and takes place every Thursday (from end July until the end of August) bringing a party atmosphere to Poole’s continental quayside with live music, entertainment and family fun before finishing with a firework finale over the largest natural harbour in Europe at 10pm!

Poole Dream Machines

The entire Quay is closed off to all traffic, except bikes. Numbers of motorbikes regularly exceed 1000. The display features a wide range of models and makes, many of which have been modified and fitted with interesting features and extras.

The event creates a unique, exciting atmosphere as bikers and spectators enjoy a relaxed evening on Poole Quay. The backdrop of the quay and harbour offers the perfect location and there is a great selection of waterside cafes, bars, restaurants and food kiosks offering refreshment, many with bike night specials on their menus.

Bournemouth and Poole selfie wall trail

Thanks to local gallery, Ambassadeur Art, a variety of artists have created a series of murals that make fun and colourful backdrops for your selfies. The Selfie Wall Trail stretches from Sandbanks all the way to Southbourne meaning wherever you are on the seafront, the perfect selfie opportunity isn’t far away.

Follow the trail on foot, by bike or aboard our famous land trains and don’t forget to take a pit stop – there are plenty of seafront cafés and restaurants along the way.

Bournemouth Boat Trips

You’re spoilt for choice for boat trips whether you want to make a quick hop from Mudeford over to Hengistbury Head, spend a day on beautiful Brownsea Island or take a leisurely tour of our beautiful Jurassic Coast. Why not hire a rowing boat for a few hours from Christchurch Quay, Poole Park or the Tuckton Tea Rooms or sit back and let someone else do the work on an organised tour while you save your attention for the picnic?!

Zip line and rock climbing

RockReef is an all year, all weather activity attraction located at the end of Bournemouth Pier.
