Join us at Pier Approach, Bournemouth on 15 September 2024 and share an incredible day with others who understand how it feels to be affected by dementia. Registrations are now open! Meeting point

Bournemouth Memory Walk will start and finish in the event site, which is located by Bournemouth Observation Wheel at Pier Approach. Please not this area is paved. Find us using postcode BH2 5AA, alternatively enter ruins.sheet.final into the What3Words App.

Travel information

There is no dedicated event parking, please use city centre parking and public transport. Pier Approach is a 1.8km walk from Bournemouth train station.

Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, or car share where possible.

To make sure everyone's included, there are two routes to choose from on the day of Memory Walk.

The shorter 3.5km walk is a gentle stroll along the sea front which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages. This route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance.

The longer 8km walk is a little more challenging, and will take you further along Bournemouth sea front.

Please note the route and distance is subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.

There is no training but you get a safety briefing if you are a volunteer, you can bring a friend as you will always be in pairs when either marshalling the course or supporting on the merchandise stand
