Welcome to BU Darts!


Whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to darts, BU Darts Society offers a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy the game. 

We offer weekly casual sessions alongside entering three teams into the University Darts League Southern Division – so you can represent the University across the South every week or just come along whenever you please!

As part of the Darts Society, you'll gain access to exclusive weekly socials, bi-semesterly inter-university tournaments, custom darts shirts and darts equipment offers. Whether you're in it for the fun or the competition, there's something for everyone!

New for 2026/27!

  • We have become an official performance sport affiliated with SportBU meaning new blue and yellow shirts, strength and conditioning and end of year events!
  • We’ve joined forces with PBC Darts to bring members a 10% discount on all items in their Winton darts shop, as well as access to ADC events at their youth academy base at the Kings Arms.
  • New bi-semesterly inter-club tournaments, including the return of the BU Darts Premier League in semester 2 with an all-new format.


What do we do?

  • Weekly Tuesday social and ‘training’ sessions with different formats; a chance to throw some darts in a relaxed setting or put yourself in contention for being picked for our UDUK squad. This takes place every week at The Kings Arms, just a 5-minute walk from Talbot Campus.
  • 12 UDUK competitive matchdays per year, + cup competition. We enter three teams (A, B and C) into the University Darts League, competing in triples, doubles and singles matches every Wednesday.
  • Wednesday socials held weekly after a matchday; a great way to unwind and socialise with the group on a night out with a different theme every week!
  • In-house tournaments – held every month – a great way to get involved in competitive darts without being in our UDUK squad.
  • Charity fundraisers, such as Movember, the Darts Marathon for Macmillan and BU Come Dancing are pencilled in for this year – get involved for great causes!
  • End of year awards night meal and presentation in April.


How do I get involved?

To get involved, come down to our Taster evening at Q Sports Bar on Tuesday 29/09. This will be a space to get to know everyone and ask questions and throw. Those who are interested in being picked for our UDUK squad will also use the evening to trial.

Come and see us at Freshers Fair on Saturday 26/09 to ask any questions, join our Whatsapp group, throw some darts and win prizes!
