Why Join Us?

  • Being at university means that you are part of a vast community, and it can be difficult to meet people outside of your course, halls, or clubbing. Being a member of our society means you will be able to meet many different people and take part in a various different events and activities so you can build your university social circle
  • Our society brings a diverse group of people together, whether it be different ethnic backgrounds or LGBTQIA+ background, anyone and everyone can feel welcome in the Hang Out Society
  • We are one of the few societies that is not tied to a specific interest, meaning there will be something for everyone to enjoy and explore!

What Do We Do?

  • We host events and activities such as barbeques on the beach, laser tag, movie nights, and game nights. If you have a suggestion for an activity that we aren't currently running, let one of the committees members know and we'll make it happen!
  • We bring people together and offer support for anyone who is struggling with socialising at university
