What do we do?

Bournemouth Quidditch Club, more commonly known as Bournemouth Banshees, is taking on new life this year! Having not played since March 2020, many of our banshees have fled the nest and we are looking for new players for the next generation of Bournemouth Quidditch.

This season Bournemouth Quidditch will be training alongside Bristol Uni, Exeter Uni, and community team West Country Rebels in Bournemouth with extra sessions across the Southwest (transport available).

Quidditch is a fast-growing full-contact mixed-gender sport, with the 2018 World Cup featuring over 20 countries from 5 continents!

Come along to one of our sessions and give it a go!

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

Key Events

Our first event will be a taster session on the 26th of September 2021 at Slades Farm at 13:30. Check out our event here: https://fb.me/e/2u0ilH5GM

Then there'll be regular training sessions in Bournemouth and across the Southwest with our neighbour teams. There will be opportunities to play in Quidditch UK university tournaments, South Coast Cup (with a fixture hosted in Bournemouth this season), alongside additional tournaments nationally and internationally.

In the summer, we have traditionally held our infamous Beach Quidditch tournaments with players from all over the country before heading into town to party!

When and Where?

Slades Farm, a park 5 minute walk from campus. Training times TBD.
