Dorset Mind Volunteer

Usifo joined us at Dorset Mind in October and has been an excellent addition to our team. He's had a varied and impressive career and those skills are certainly benefiting the charity enormously. He is also a great guy to have in the office. He thinks a lot about the world and we've enjoyed talking about the big issues of the day. His journalistic and social media skills have proved critical to us, during a very hectic and challenging period. We have exciting plans for the future and his voice will be key to future developments.

FUNDRAISING Volunteer

"As a fundraising volunteer, Abdulai has played an active role in raising awareness of the charity’s work supporting local families. Over the past year, he’s attended events such as Little Pickles Market and Broadstone Fun Day, helping to engage the community and promote Home-Start’s mission. Earlier this year, Abdulai also took part in the Plane Pull Challenge, joining a team of 20 to pull an aircraft and raise over £2,600 for the charity.

These wonderful students took up the challenge to transcript recordings we’d made of people’s memories of the local area from 1930’s and 40’s. No small task! The transcripts have meant we’ve been able to create education resources for all ages, and share the project more widely. Thank you!
